Does anyone know if the riveted Snap-On labels on K-60 or K-200 cabinets varied over time or if there is a way to use the labels as a way to identify the date of the cabinet? I can't find a date code of any kind on it.
Thanks,
Brad

Re: K-60 Snap-On labels
On the K-60 - It ran from 1939-1946/7 (7/8 years), Certainly the 1948 Catalog no longer shows a K-60. The first year and maybe the 2nd year had 2 straight strips on the box on either side of the label. These were dropped in the mid and longer term - I don't know why, these are shown all through the catalog life, but few are actually seen. It is a detail, and I think they never redrafted the picture. I think the labels were all black and red.
The K-200 is more difficult, but the early ones had outboard casters, The casters were moved inward pretty quick. Agains the catalog drawing shows the outboard, but not the inboard. Most of the K-200 actually seen are inboard. The K-200 also had a red and black label then switched to a Chrome label (1945/6??)
It is a little fuzzy to me, but I can spot an early box right away. The post 1941 boxes seem pretty much all the same to me.

Here is a photo of the top box I've been taking apart preparing for powder coating. Any idea on the year? I can't find any markings other than, Made in USA.

Re: K-60 Snap-On labels
It is missing the 2 trim pieces, so i don't think it is a 1939, By 1941/2 the chrome was very limited so my guess is pre WWII, but not by much - 1941
