I have inherited a Snap-on tool box and my local Snap-on dealer is unsure of what it is. The box number is MB-314A, from Chicago, IL. we thought it should be KRA from Kenosha, WI. I was also wondering what it is worth in original condition and what it would be worth if i restored it.
Thank you for your help,
Kurt

Re: Need help with box ID
You probaly have a Metal Box & Cabinet Co. box made in Chicago between about '55 & '62. The two digit date should be stamped on the back along with the maker. I have a MB-413 2-drawer middle section that I made mention of on page 14 of this forum. Seems to be a lot rarer than the Kenosha versions. Post a pic.
