Unusual Snap-on L73 Ratchet

Post by J.A.F.E. »

This thing followed me home. How could I deny a dirty and abused homeless oddball? The L-73 is a 1" drive ratchet but this one was made for a square 1 3/16 fastener yet still bears the standard part number. The finish seems to be cadmium plating. The vendor who had this seems to specialize in finding stuff buried for at least a decade and this was no exception I probably cleaned about 5 pounds of dirt off it but it still has the oil port.

1952 date code.

I might get a a repair kit and convert it to a regular 1" drive since it carries the part number.

Its a odd one. Looks like a 42. Not sure if you can get a kit to fit. Try calling SO and see if they will send you one.
