Copper coated rats from the war

Copper coated rats from the war

All three have war codes. No sure what they were used for, probably for a non sparking use. But you think they would be more than just coated, it's like the coating was a after thought. We may never know. Also, why the offsets of the screw holes in many of the rats from this era, the faceplate holes are correct.
