box socket wrench maybe?

Can anyone help me ID this little guy?

9/16 x 5/8 12 point sockets on a rod

older font no date code or numbers

date? item number?

Name for this style wrench?

some of these have the date code on top of the socket.

That looks like a hammerhead wrench that has been repaired. They were common in the 20s, so it may be pre date code.
