Me and my dad are mechanics run a garage and the everyday box in my van is a par-x box with 3 draws, I have the odd bit but I bought a par-x ratchet its 1/4 drive and its in very good condition, will post a pic at some point.

I want the best possible finish I can get. I was thinking about putting the tools on eBay but there aren't many par-x tools on there at all so not sure. I will try and get some photo's up tomorrow of the tools and box. I've got alot of other vintage English tools too but not snap on so best not mention them lol. The breaker bar is like new and has a good chrome finish and looks almost identical to a snap- on I would say. I'm in Lincoln so quite far away from angelsey. I've spoken to a snap-on dealer in my area and the paint is £30 a tin! Quite expensive. Any other tips on the box would be great. Has anyone ever restored a cantilever box before?

Well your best off getting all the dents out as good as you can and use as little filler as you can and like I said spray it with primer and wet flat it down then when your happy with it spray with your red and maybe lacquer it and that will enhance the shine to a very good finish, yeah you are quite far from Anglesey then, iv never restored a cantilever but im sure other people on here would have, iv done other boxes in the past all you can do is spend lots of time rubbing down and using different grades of wet and dries start with 600 and then maybe 800 then 1200, then that is the time to spray with red but really there is to much to type just make sure before you spray you don't have any greasy surfaces.
