7/8 drive with overstrike!

Hello! I have a 1 5/8 socket in 7/8 drive. It has the s/o overstrike! Supposedly the 7/8 drive was introduced when SnapOn was allready using the "Snap On" logo in 1925. Has anyone ever encountered these before? Thank you Ranger Jeff.
