KR series roll cabs

Hello again. I am enjoying this site very much and appreciate everyone's efforts in posting their photos. What great memories I have seeing these tools. I am a third generation mechanic and was once told by an old timer in the trade that "you will never go wrong with Snap On". Today I still head that advice. I have noticed some differences with Snap On's new line of tools and am not so impressed with Blue Point as I once was. It appears most of the Blue Point small metal boxes are made in China now. Well, this post is mainly about the early KR series roll cabs. Why won't Snap On add drawer dividers inside their drawers anymore? I now own a KRL1022 series and love it the same as my early KR1000 but the differences I found are that the drawer depths are slightly more shallow. The drawer slides are heavier which I like and on the large drawers you will find welded stiffeners on the under side. My dealer told me that people wanted no obstructions inside the drawers for more space but my feeling is that the dividers just made things look more organized. The divider kits Snap on sell now takes up more space than the welded in type. And they now offer steel add in dividers instead of those flimsy plastic kits. I also have a nice KR56A at home that my boys just love.
