Earliest metric Snap-on or Blue Point wrenches

when did snap-on begin making metric wrenches? The earliest they appeared in a regular catalog appears to be 1958. However beginning with the 1948 catalog there is a note on page 42 to get a supplement. I noticed on the 1946 catalog the supplement was only for Whitworth, no mention of metric.
Before 1958 were metric wrenches special order or were they regular production.

The first cat that shows metric is 1938. The wrenches were all Blue Point, until about the early 50s, then they just changed the Blue Point name to Snap on, same wrenches, just a different name. The 9/32 dr. metric sockets are very rare.
Below is what looks like early 30s snap on metric sockets. no date code on these.
