W1011 Blue Point Wench

I picked up a Blue Point W1011. I can't found any listing for it. It Has on the heads 5/16W and 1/4W But I measure 1/2" & 9/16" It dosen't look to have been inlarged. See Attachments
Anyone Know anything about It?

It is a whitworth wrench, would date late 30s to very early 40s. would show in the 39 cat.

Back in the simpler days of Whitworth, before they used the same size bolt head for different diameter bolts, depending on pitch, fine or coarse.

Whitworth wrenches, by the way, are designated by the bolt size, not the head size. British mechanics who worked on equipment with Whitworth parts must be even better at looking at a bolt head/nut and knowing what size wrench to use than the average mechanic.

I opened this thread in great anticipation, wondering what a wench with blue points looked like, only to find pictures of a wrench.

Well, at least they did not name them Blue Balls, or take after our UK friends and name them after their Bull Dog "King Dick"
