While we're asking, can anyone help me with this Ratchet? I see a marking by the lever also.
I have coffee with the owner who tool this is and used it thru his career as an auto mechanic.
I have a nice larger pic but the site won't allow me to load it.

The date code is between the (on, off) behind the selector switch. You can google a snap on date code chart, or post a pic of the head here so we can see it.

I tried snipping just the head from the one photo, to give OOfxd a hand. Let's see if this is readable:

Thanks all. I do not have the ratchet in my possession at this time..
Bills 'snip' is helpful, but the stamp is actually more like an 8, but not like any 8 in Snap Mom's link.
I will try to get the ratchet back for another 'photo session'

Hi Fella's, Here is the marking on the 71N Ratchet. It is an 8 but not one that looks like any in the date list - any opinions?
Thanks, Frank

After referring to the dating code chart, any thoughts on the weird looking "8" snapmom? Or anyone?
Thanks, Frank
