NEWS Site being attacked

This is to inform you what is happening, however I don’t think you can help (in this case)
There have been a number of attacks on the site in the past 2 months. These are usage attacks out of Asia and eastern Europe. There is a massive illegitimate or malicious usage in the search and catalog areas. I am really looking for is a way to permanently solve the problem. I have solved the immediate problem by shutting down different geographies. This works for a while, but the hacker is redirecting and starting over from a different location. The result is an outage on the site. The site is back up now, but the problem has not been solved long term. The site may go down again.
