Looking at the catalogs, starting in 1945 the 9/32 set is replaced with 1/4 drive and the box no longer has the Tee Handle compartment.

Can I assume any midget box with the Tee Handle compartment is made before 1945?

Yes, would be pre 46

Your reply made me study the 1945 catalog and I noticed page 2 shows the tee handle style.
