Anyone know anything about this ratchet? Date stamped 1980, no other markings. Seems to be a F-70M style body. Appears NOS.
Accidentally stumbled on to it on Ebay looking for another ratchet. I've only ever seen two of these before.

I like it. The midget size ratchet is really small for some jobs. This would come in handy for jobs like tightening the screws on valve covers.

Probably for more leverage, or perhaps reach. Cool ratchet!

Is it drilled for the oil hole? Like the f-70- m.

I think they possibly used GF-70-S body, buffed and chromed. Torque wrench ratchet kit, maybe. This gets it closer to date codes of '80 & '82. The larger gear and pawl would allow it to handle more force . I don't think they were designed just to use with sockets, but, more for an industrial machine or fixture. The wear on Snapmom's ratchet looks larger and is more consistent across the plate,so I don't think a socket was used.
Thanks for sharing it. Snapmom's I saw on Tool Archives, Thanks!!
