i know the picture is kinda crummy, but can anyone tell me anything about this box? I've been told it's a vintage snapon, that's it. I was going through the catalogs and box information, and it almost looks like a DPRB-500 on page 55 of the 1939 catalog but i can't be sure, there's the extra little "tray" on underneath the shelf. the top i'm unsure of as well. I haven't seen this box in person yet, but am eager to look at it.

I think your ideas about the catalog is as good as mine. I think it is a good guess. Once you see the box, you may be able to narrow it down, but 1930s - yes. If the boxes have the Snap on logo on it - Yes. There are no "copies" so the tags will tell you
It is a great find. It needs to be cleaned up, but if the drawer slides are good - it will be a good box
Frank
PS $321 is a very reasonable price

Ha ha ha, you sneaky dog. I'm not the only one scouring the list i guess. Ya, i saw it and was instantly hooked on it.
I'll tell ya, i got that one box, found this site and catalogs and all of a sudden all these older snap on tools started being made visible in my tool collection. Then i was noticing the difference in the logos and i'm always lookin around.
so thank you!
