Were there specific Snap-On kits for specific U.S. ww2 vehicles. I have a Ferret set box that I was told was from a ww2 half track. The few tools in it are all 1939, G and E codes. The box is approx 18x5x1 inches and has Snap/On and FERRET SET embossed in lid. It has inner structure to organize and locate sockets, ratchet, speeder, extensions and u-joint.
Thanks.....

I looked at the 1939 catalog on this forum and found that my ferret set is a number 85B set or what remains of it.

I cannot recall a specific kit made by SO, for a specific war machine. But I would guess that there were lots of kits in use during the war, including the ferret set. What do you need to finish the set, lots of collectors here that have extra WW2 tools.

I got given a speed brace out of a Lancaster bomber set, the man who gave it me said he was given it by the man on the actual plane so maybe they did have tool kits but just mixed makes.
