info on my kr56 please help

I scored an awesome kr56 off the net, but im have trouble finding my exact model in the catalogs. Its only got one pull handle on the lid and only one divider on top. Any info on model or year would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks & love the site.

Well, you cannot trust the pic in the cats. Quite often they would run the same pic for years even as they changed the box (etc) several times. So, its prob. a KR-56 from the mid 50s.

Thanks for the info. Im planning onthe blasting and painting it since its been poorly painted several times already, any thoughts on color? I have a Krl 1001 model I just got done restoring its flat black to match my krc 46 cart. I think something more toward the original color is best for the kr56 though. Im not sure what color that would be. It looks very orange under the drawers.

A good match in can sprays is rustolem sunrise red. But is you go the the garagejournal.com there are some guys there that will give you the numbers match if you want to air spray it from your own sprayer.

Thanks for the help snapmom. Now I just need to score a roll cab from the same era. Easier said than done. Lol
