A friend of mine gave me this box. I'm pretty sure that it is a 1958-ish KR56A. At some point in its life, the exterior was painted dark gray and the emblem in the upper left hand corner was removed. Does anyone know of a good source for a replacement logo?
Also, I want to restore it and that means removing the black paint. If anyone has any good ideas for removal that will leave the original paint undamaged, that would also be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1958 KR56A Restoration
Nice looking box.
I would try paint thinners and/or graffiti remover to try to remove the paint to get it back to the OG paint.
In my experience the original paint can lift quite easily so try either of the above on a discreet place first to see what works best.
