How to care for new SnapOn tools

Post by learning »

Hello,

I am a novice tooler and new to the SnapOn community. I am a DIYer that has fallen in love with SnapOn quality.
My question is how to I take proper care of my tools. As of now, I typically wipe down my tools with WD-40 after each use - is this a good idea?
Thank you very much in advance for your time and attention.

Sincerely,

Matt

Myself, I think that might be a bit more than you need to do. These are pro tools; mechanics don't wipe them down after every time they use them. Take a shop rag, if you must, and wipe the tools off when they get dirty. Over time, it will get enough oil on it to serve as a lubricant.
