Hi Mr. Murch,

I got a link to your site from Snap-On Tools and found it very informative. I had written to them asking about a handle and 4 mixed sockets that I have owned forever. I think they were in a 1933 Dodge coupe that my brother and I owned. The handle and one socket is a Plumb, another 2 sockets are Snap-On and Williams.
I never thought much about them being an odd size untill now, and reading on your site that they were used 1925 to 1945 then replace by 1/4 ".

Thanks,

If you send me the numbers and a photo there is a good chance I can find them for you

I am rewriting the site and should have a better site in about a month.

I think you are talking about a 9/32 inch drive???

Send in a photo if you have time

Frank

The main thing that I wanted to know, I've already found out.
That tool companies were making a special 9/32 inch drive for two decades.
Quite a revelation when I've been using socket wrenches for about 40 years.
Thanks,
