What scan tool do you use?
My wrenching grew up in a ford dealership so I was always used to an IDS or WDS. Now that i'm out of the dealership scene I find myself working on different makes and models. At work, alot of the stuff I work on is chevy diesels. We have one ford 6.0 diesel here. but in my spare time I work on alot of different things and sometimes find life would be easier with a good scan tool. I have an innova code reader, but that is really limited with what it can do. I would love to be able to monitor pids of my choice and use an active command. Mainly with the chevy and ford diesels. Anyone use a solus or other snap on scan tool? How well does it work? Is the active command feature good, and how about the list of pids to choose from? Ever have a need with tech support for it?

how big Chevy / Ford diesels? Bigger trucks like F650? I mostly use an otc spx3418 for bigger trucks, it's simple and fast for most problems, major problems on big trucks or all smaller trucks with standard obd2 I use a Mac Mentor
