old box ID

Post by wgdenomm »

Hi, I am new and have a question about this old box? Can it be saved, and what year is it? Looks like K5 bottom and K6 top, not sure about middle box, I have a chance to pick it up for 150 neg, worth it?

Looks early 40s. Its well worth that if the slots for the caster pins are intact, you should be able to get some casters for it. But the top two boxes are worth that price, these should clean up ok.

I would have paid twice that amount with no question - It was a good buy

the bottom looks like a prb-6a. I picked up the same one with a k-55 top for 150 not too long ago. I found it to be a reasonable price. It looks like that prb botom is in better shape than mine.
