Its a hardware dealers box from about 1925. Very nice one. Snap on once tried to sell tools at hardware stores, it was a failure, the tools were priced to high. this is one of those boxes. Its rare to see one with the top, could you post a pic showing how the top is attached.
Thanks much for showing this to us, and tell us about youself.

Hi there thanks for your reply very interesting to know that i have actually got coming with it a 1928 change of price sheet, i have not yet got the item its on its way as we speak but ill have a look at the other pictures of it and i will look for one showing how its fastened. If that fails ill take a picture when it gets here. It is though missing the top draw so im thinking thats going to be hard to find haha. Thanks very much.

I just looked at a close up of the front and it looks like either its bolted on at either end or some kind of dowels, that will be one of the first things i do once it arrives.

Hi there again the cabinet has arrived now, it has the top held on with two small nuts and bolts of same size as the nuts and bolts that hold part of the cabinet up together if you want pictures i can upload some. Thanks

Hi there again i have just found out that this is from the hardware store in New York 1776 Broadway as mentioned in the 1924 picture on this site that is listed under other curiosities 1. It was in the family since the store as it was relotives that owned that store back then, does anyone know anything about this store? thanks.
