Hi There,
I'm new to these parts and I'm hoping to get some information on some of my tools.
I recently inherited some tools from my grandfather, one of them being the Snap-on QJR3250 Torque wrench. The click was working when I tried it last, but the ratchet portion seems to just turn freely and won't lock up anymore. I opened it up today and found that at some point over the years my grandfather had lost the mechanism that locks the ratchet and replaced it with a paper clip. Surprisingly it worked fine until recently.
I would really like to get this tool working again, but I can't seem to find any part numbers or repair kits for this model. I would be fine attempting to fashion a new part, as he did, but I need to know what the original looked like so I have a better chance of making it work. Thoughts?

Re: QJR3250 Ratchet Repair
I do not see a repair kit listed. Best bet would to be to call Snap on and see if they have one.

Re: QJR3250 Ratchet Repair
So my local Snap-On guy says he can't get a repair kit.
My grandpa had this thing working for years with a paperclip, anyone have a non-'call snap-on' related solution?
Does anyone know what the part I need looks like to I can attempt to fabricate one on my own?
Thanks again

Here is a parts list for your torque wrench - the ratchet head repair kit number is QJR3250-22 and is available from Snap-on for $17.05 (I just checked their website)

Wow, I did not have any luck searching the snap on site, that's so strange. Thanks so much.
