I'm away working at the moment but I wish I was at home and had more time to know this was for sale because I'd of loved to of had a chance of bidding iv already got a K260 but ones never enough haha.

Lovely box not sure if you all seen it on eBay or not because it was a uk listing would be good to see if the new owner is on this site.

That was a beauty. Looks like the second version, early 40 through late 40. Still has the bakelite handles, but has the friction slides, crown caps on the corners, and the folded back plate in the top. I'd be curious, if the new owner ever posts here, what the base of the 200 has in the corners above the top drawer.

And I know exactly what you mean when you say one is not enough.

What came first the steel handles or the Bakelite ones?
Iv got the same k200 with only the three draws and Bakelite handles. What do you mean about above the top draws?
Haha yeah I'd love more than the one iv got but I'll have a shed full eventually ;)
There's another one arrived on British eBay now but no where near same condition also missing a handle well a couple.
Would love to know where this box is heading off to it's new home

Bakelite was only on the first versions. Another interesting/unexpected feature of that pair is on the 200, it has bakelite handles with friction slides, and inboard wheels. Every one I've seen has the outboard wheels.
