Vintage Snap On Spring Spreader
I came across this Snap On spring spreader in a box that I picked up in an old shop. The only reason I know what it is, is because I looked up the patent number, patented in 1931. I have never seen one before. I collect old tools. My question is, Is this complete, and should I sell or keep? Does this hold any value?
Thank you

It is not complete, missing a couple of parts, more if it was later. This looks early 30s. Does have value, would be interested in the parts myself, I have some of these.

What is missing is the gear piece that fits on to the ratchet, and the bar with the threads that fits into that.

I now have the complete tool, as it is pictured in the link that you shared with me. I got lucky and found the ratchet and screw.

I dont know if the long box end wrench goes with the set, but it fits in the handle and looks to be the same color of red under the surface rust.

Re: Vintage Snap On Spring Spreader
Ok, I havent decided what Im going to do with it. I'm afraid if I sell it, I may never see another. And, there's another person from the forum ahead of you that wants it. If you Google it, they only come up with about 6 pictures. I have no idea what I'd ask for it.
