Socket Date Range

Post by JeepFan »

The Snap On sockets with the two rings, one on drive end and one in the middle, that always seem to rust or turn black. The ones I have don't have a date code, can someone point me to a date range on those.

Early 70's. They show up in the 71 catalog and in the 75 catalog but are gone by the 78 catalog replaced by knurling instead of the black oxide bands.

Thanks, I found them. I guess in those days metric sockets were not common so they are further back in the catalogs.
