Got this at an auction Saturday. Alloy Artifacts had no info on it and prolly shoulda come here first. No part number on it and the patent applied stamp makes me think it might be an early 7/8" drive. The female part is 5/8" and the male plug part is 7/8". Was wondering if it might be the center rat in your "Socket set" section for "3 rare 7/8" drive tools" photo. Gonna keep it regardless. Does have a slight bend in the handle, maybe a 3/16" gap at the center when laid on a flat surface. Currently soaking in ATF to see if it will loosen up the pawl and/or spring. Rather not take it apart and risk reslly screwing it up.

Sometimes you just get lucky. It is a 7/8 dr rat. from the late 20s The only diff in the 5/8 and 7/8 on most all SO rats is only the plug. So, if you cannot fix it, get a 5/8 rat with no plug and use this plug. Nice find.
