A-2005-R Speeder and P-71 ratchet.

Post by snapmom »

I am not a big collector of industrial tools, but do collect the speeders and rat, and some of the sockets.
The first pic. is a A-2005-R speeder, has a place built in for a ratchet wrench. The rat wrench fitted on to the speeder in the second pic is a 11/16 model 9722. Many industrial tools do not have a date mark, I would date these two, in the late 30s.
The third pic is a 1935 P-71, started as a 71A, (I have another rat that has the reg. model number chiseled off like this, and some waterpump wrenches are like this too). The only diff. is that the socket retainer is a pin type instead of a ball. the 37 industrial cat has a P71N and a P7110 Listed.

I wonder why Snap On never offered the hex on all speeders, seems like a great idea
