Thought someone had just goobered yellow spray paint on it, but trying to gently scratch it off just brought more yellow. Looks like ithe bas of the handle got too close to a torch at one time, but is there a date of manufacture for this guy?? Part number is either SOD8 or SDD8 Photo of it amongst a stash from the estate sale in which it changed possession. I didin't see one lke it in the archive photos.
Thanks

that design of handle came out in the late 80's or early 90's and the colors started in the 90's - i believe that you can still get the replacement handles today - yellow was very popular because it was easy to see under the hood so less chance of leaving it behind
