cf-49a valve lifter

Post by argie »

Hello all, I don't feel near as old after seeing some of these tools. :-)

I have a cf-49a valve lifter and would like to know what engines it was used on, what it is worth and if anybody on this forum is interested in buying it.

Thanks

The CF-49 lifter worked on most "L" head engines incluing Ford sixes up to 1952. It is a common tool, and does not sell for very much.

"Not very much" is pretty relative, especially when I went into sticker shock at the price of a loaf of bread (we now bake our own :-) ).

What would be a reasonable price to expect for it; 10, 20, 30??? When I try to buy any tool, much less a Snap-on I really go into shock.

Thanks
