1930's tool chest
I recently aquired this Snap-on tool chest. It is in need of a good cleaning, and I am considering sandblasting and repainting. I was hoping someone might be able to tell me what model it is, what year it is from and how much it might be worth. Thanks in advance for any input

It looks like a K-55R (1941-1946), regardless be very careful if you have it sandblasted. Sometimes sand blasting gets too hot and warps some parts like drawer and/or lids.
You might consider (glass) bead blasting as it is much cooler and does just as good a job. Value depends on condition, I would ask Snap-mom,she is a much better judge of values

I'd just clean it up and use, maybe try clay bar and some wax.

Yes just clean it with super clean. It looks well used and some repairs where done to it so that not going to help with the value.
there are two ways to go with old chests clean them up and make them functional or a complete restore. I would only do a complete restore if it was a rare and wanted chest or it had sentimental value. Hope that helps
