I have what I believe is a KR65 box. Its got the triangle snap on logo on the front but not much else in the way of any identification markers on it. Best I can tell this is the first version which would put it somewhere between 1948 and 1955? But I'm a bit confused as I've been told there could be an even older one with the oval logo?
My box came with some tools and I'm starting to think these could be what originally came with the box. Anyone know what should have come in this?

Might help to see what dividers it has and configuration of such to help track down the year. What date codes are on the tools that were in the box?

Nice box!
K 65 R, original redcap with those partitions.
Dating by the label is tough, but the diamond point is usually war years up to mid 50's, with many exceptions.
That partition arrangement shows up throughout too, so no guarantees.
Do you have the key?

Yup. 2 keys actually. Still have to go through the tools that were in here in an effort to figure out what actually belongs in here and what got added.macother wrote:Nice box!

Most tools will have a number symbol stamped on the tool, here is a chart. http://collectingsnapon.com/index.php?p ... te%20ChartLksdrinker wrote:I'll have to double check the tools.....where am I looking for date codes? Nice little box. I have one myself. Don't know what came with it. My dad was a dealer so he could have just got the box.
