KR Toolboxes

I recently aquired some Snap On tools from my late father. I was born in 1966 and i can remember my dad having these tools ever since i can remember. I was trying to find out when the storage boxes were made. There are 4 boxes. I looked at the section on this site that identifies the storage boxes, but i do not see them anywhere. The model # and serial #'s are as follows.

KR 547 #1810671 ?
KR 557 B #1736899
KR 537 A #1613653
KR 5570 ? 2377697

Can anyone help me figuer out when these were produced? Thanks!

Many of these boxes have the date stamped on the back of the box. Would be something like KR-656 65 , where 65 is the date.

Mdaypaving, look very closely on the back of you boxes where you see the serial numbers stamped in there. On the back of my 1987 KR 650 / KR 655 set, the following is stamped on the back of my KR 650 top box for example ...

KR-650
Snap-on Tools Corp
Kenosha, WI USA 87
3339158

Note the "87" after USA ... that's the year manufactured. Hope this helps. Bill
